quivering shadows

Andrew Kenkel

Quivering Shadow Dancing in the Night

Sunset covers the land in a crimson glow
Passion’s fiery embers begin to fade
Even the bugs return to their earthy homes below
Children tossing and turning in bed as they lay

The shadows begin to stir in the sinister wind

Blog reflection

When I began this blog I was worried about it because of how I am introverted and self conscious about my work. I do not share my thoughts and feeling on subjects because I'm usually worried that I will be ridiculed for my Opinions. However, as the blog progressed I became a bit more comfortable with sharing my thoughts and feelings and care less about if someone thinks differently than me. Overall I would like to believe I did decently on this blog as an overall assignment.

Life

What is Life?

Living every day to fulfill your future

Embracing the poem in your life with love and respect

Having no regrets about your actions and decisions

Choosing the path you go down and not someone else's path

That is life

Poetry Feelings

Andrew Kenkel

Whenever I feel down about myself or if I question what I'm doing is the right thing in my life I always try to read a good poem or to write one myself. One example of a poem that I wrote that is called "Unforgivable Mistake" which I wrote in the aftermath of a painful breakup. This poem helped me express my pain in a healthy way and helped me move on from the relationship to a better tomorrow.

Unforgivable Mistake

My heart now filled with pain and sorrow,
Guilt stabs me like a venomous knife.
Unable to talk to you tomorrow
Is the same as the end of life.
Years together, joys exchanged,
Love forever eternal, no other can
Wishing to take back all that was arranged
For a mistake that others would doubtfully ban.
Regret sets in, heart in pain
“I won't take you back.”
Cuts my heart, my hope is slain
Forever empty, the loves now lack.
I will always love you and will always be there

Goodbye my love, if fate doesn’t decide to be more fair

Dickinson Collage Poem

The Soul has Bandaged moments
We slowly drove – He knew no haste
We passed the Setting Sun
He glanced with rapid eyes
It was not Night, for all the Bells
I could suffice for Him, I knew
One might depart at option
It makes the parting tranquil
If I should die
Conduct the pleasing scene!

Poems used:
The Soul Has Bandaged Moments
If I Should Die
Because I Could Not Stop for Death
It Was Not Death, for I stood up
A Bird Came Down the Walk

I could suffice for Him, I knew
